Are fully accredited online universities worth it?

Do employers take degrees from accredited online universities seriously? I am thinking of taking my last two years of classes through an online program but I am hesitant. Does anyone have any advise or expertise about the validity of online degrees?

It depends a lot on the employer and what they are looking for. Some employers don’t care, and just want some kind of degree, but if you are up against someone for a job and they have a degree form a recognized university you might have trouble. Don’t let the word accredited fool you. Generally online universities have what is called a national accreditation, but traditional universities all have regional accreditation. If you tried to take your online degree, and say get into a graduate school at a traditional university they won’t accept you.

There is absolutely no difference between online degree and degree that you spend most time in school. But as you know, most employers don’t like much the online degree. You don’t have to worry about that because if you got a good GPA, they still hire you.
    Good luck
