Absolutely NO – I do not know of any credible employer or any accredited university that accepts on-line course work as a credential or qualification for a job or for a higher degree.

It depends on what school you choose. There are some very good schools that now offer undergrad degrees, as well as graduate degrees, 100% online. Harvard, Drexel, and the University of Michigan just to name a few. Then ther are the “other” schools; DeVry and the University of Pheonix. Avoid these types of schools at all cost, they are overpriced and not highly regarded by employers. I would suggest that you look into a few of your local colleges to see if they offer the online option. If not, try searching the DANTES website, they have something to do with educating soldiers who can’t go to regular classes, and if my memory serves me, they have an extensive listing of schools with online programs.
