From Stalinism to Pluralism: A Documentary History of Eastern Europe since 1945
Product Description
Bringing together a wealth of historical documents, memoirs, essays, and literature from Eastern Europe, this highly successful book vividly illustrates how the most original and challenging minds of the region have understood and reacted to Stanlinism and its successors since the end of the Second World War, ultimately showing how Eastern Europeans have made the journey from Stalinism to a new pluralism. The book creates a rich mosaic of political and historical development in these countries, presenting extracts from the works of Leszek Kolakowski, Czeslaw Milosz, Milovan Djilas, George Lukacs, Vaclav Havel, Adam Michnik, and George Konrad alongside such seminal primary documents as the Yalta Agreement, the Helsinki Accords, and the Gdansk Agreement. Organized chronologically and thematically, a fifth chapter, entitled After the Fall, has been added to create a completely updated and expanded second edition. The new edition covers the critical events attending the rise of Stalinism and the fall of communism in Eastern Europe. Four new readings on the collapse of Yugoslavia into civil war, as well as close to fifty other documents make this reader the most comprehensive and up-to-date textbook on the history and politics of Eastern Europe since the end of World War II.

Is An Online Mba Degree Program From Accredited Universities Worth Pursuing?
Online schools and degree programs have become extremely popular within recent years. This is partly due to the convenient nature of obtaining a degree through the Internet.
However, web based accredited college programs can also be just as informative as in class college degrees and employers do view them as valid programs. In many ways they are very similar to a traditional classroom, with the added benefit of not having to attend a weekly class.
Hector Milla Editor of the “Best Online Degrees Programs” website — http://www.BestOnlineDegreeProgramsUSA.com — pointed out;
“…One of the most popular degrees is the MBA, or Master of Business Administration. The Masters in administration is a broad business program that encompasses administration, accounting, economics, management, leadership, computer, and project management courses. An MBA can be used in numerous fields of work and is an effective degree for many different careers…”
A web based business administration masters degree will cover all of the same courses that are included in an in class MBA program. The main difference is that the student attends an online virtual classroom in lieu of a physical room. The internet class is structured in the same way as a regular course. The student is in a class of 15-25 students and has an electronic book that he or she purchases. The student will log into the class through the school’s website. From there, one is able to view the other student’s names, the teacher’s name and information, the syllabus, and their grade tracking system.
Classroom discussions are conducted by the teacher posting a question and students replying to those questions, creating threads. The unique and convenient part is that students can log in and answer the questions at any point during the week. Therefore, one does not have to be in the classroom at a specific time but is still receiving the benefit of a classroom discussion, similar to an in class dialogue.
Assignments are completed weekly in accordance with the syllabus. This is also the same as a traditional classroom. Due dates are set in the syllabus by the teacher and coursework is handed in by uploading the assignment as an attachment to the classroom. The syllabus generally entails the same curriculum that is used in a regular class. Furthermore, the student is able to ask the instructor questions and receive feedback through an electronic e-mail thread.
“…In addition to the processes above, an online Masters degree allows one to complete assignments and classroom discussions throughout the week on his or her own time. Therefore, the web program is very beneficial for those who work full time, have children or have other time commitments. One is able to log on to the class at any time during the day or night…” added H. Milla.
Accredited online MBA programs follow the same syllabus, coursework, and requirements as a traditional class. In addition, they are considered to be just as valid with employers as an in class degree. Furthermore, one can complete coursework on his or her time, making an online degree worth pursuing.
